Last Dance, part I

Welcome everybody!

And so, this masquerade is finally over, and we thank all the contestants for your assistance. There is no prize here, there is no reward after all, I just wish you all good luck and a safe destiny wherever you may roam.

You wanna know why I'm making such statements? Well, because, in some point, masks were worn off, so in the end, I truly saw you. At least a little piece of yourself. And remember... Fortune, fame, mirrors vain, but the memory remains...

And now, switch the curtain please, and Turn the Page...

On a long and lonesome highway east of Omaha
You can listen to the engines moaning out as one note song
You think about the woman or the girl you knew the night before

But your thoughts will soon be wandering the way they always do
When you're riding sixteen hours and there's nothing much to do
And you don't feel much like riding, you just wish the trip was through

Here I am - on the road again

There I am - up on the stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page...

So you walk into this restaurant strung out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you, as you're shaking off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you, but you just want to explode

Yeah, most times you can't hear 'em talk, other times you can
All the same old clichés, is it woman? Is it man?
And you always seem outnumbered, you don't dare make a stand
Make your stand...

Here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on the stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page

Oo-ooh, out there in the spotlight, you're a million miles away
Every ounce of energy you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body like the music that you play, yeah

Later in the evening, you lie awake in bed
With the echoes of the amplifiers ringing in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette, remembering what she said
What she said...

He-ey Yeah
And here I am - on the road again
There I am - up on a stage
Here I go - playing star again
There I go - turn the page
There I go - turn that page
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, yeah
There I go, oo-oo-ooh
There I go
And I'm gone...

With everything just happened, I still wish you good luck.
Have a safe trip.
Farewell...

II

Escuchar a Frank Sinatra me hace recordar cuando la música buena se podía encontrar muy frecuentemente.

Ahora hay que buscarla...

Mimetize

As I listen to Daft Punk, Metallica and Guns N' Roses, I can only remember old times.

When everything, except having a good time, was none of our business; when we could laugh without masking our tears; when we could actually BE happy. Now, we gotta think any act we do, as we might hurt somebody with our words: sharp as a blade, and harmful as an arrow.

I wanna go back, when everything was simple. A smile, a burst of laughter, a cheering for a late friend who just made it in time, simple times - happy times, when we could be in Paradise City without occuping someone's place, when... when we were blind-folded.

You and me got the choice, become blind or continue as we are, hypocrites in a masquerade, strangers in the mist. And as I continue to think, the blind fold starts to glow, with that shining is way too much of a temptation to ignore. And there it lies, right in front of me with the menace of becoming part of me.

I heard once we prefer knowledge over bliss...
I think knowledge is a bliss, though you can tell the difference.
